Back when I lived in Munich in the 80's the American military community would put on the "Little o' fest" this time of year. It was a great summer time beer fest to celebrate U.S. independence day. You could just as easily drink Spaten or Budweiser, and there were German om-pa bands, along with American rock, country, or R&B bands. You could eat tasty German food, or feast on hamburgers and cheap ice cream from the U.S. commissary. Good times!
