I've got lots of tips. Give me an email next spring before you leave and I'll tell you what I can. For now here is one: Most people only know about Oktoberfest, but there are beer fests throughout the year. There is the Stark (strong) beer fest in March and a Spring fest in May. The Spring fest happens at the same place as the Oktoberfest, but it's smaller with tolerable crowds.
